Need Textbooks? Check Out Campus Book Rentals!

If you've ever been to college, or are looking into college, you probably know how expensive college textbooks can be. You can easily spend in the neighborhod of $1,000 on a full college load's (4-5 classes) worth of text books. Even if you are able to purchase some used, you can end up paying a lot of money. So what's a better option?
Campus Book Rentals is a website that allows you to rent textbooks at a fraction of the price you would otherwise pay (up to 90%!). You find the books you need, add them to your cart and have them shipped to you free. You will also receive a free return envelope, so it doesn't cost you to return the books at the end of your term. Here is a video illustrating how it works.

So for example, this textbook on College Physics is about $16 to rent. New this book would cost about $75 or more. Even on Amazon, an "acceptable" one is over $20. Maybe not a huge difference, but still something. Plus, you don't have to go through the trouble of trying to resell it. Or having it sitting around your house forever. Personally, I had very few textbooks I wanted to keep once the class was over, but textbooks are generally not something a regular used bookstore wants either. Sometimes even the used textbook store that sold it to you won't buy it back!
So, the hassle of finding something to do with the books is also removed. And in my opinion, that would be a great perk in itself! They also offer monthly giveaways, textbook scholarships and a referral program.
And as if these benefits aren't enough, you would also be supporting a good cause by renting your textbooks at Campus Book Rentals, because with each book rental, the company makes a donation to Operation Smile--an organization that provides surgeries to children born with a cleft lip and who could not otherwise afford the surgery.
So, those are lots of great reasons to choose Campus Book Rentals for your textbook needs. So spread the word to the college students in your life. And if you're one of those folks that reads textbooks for fun, this is for you too. ;-)
